A warm welcome to Community Baptist Church (CBC)!

I am glad to meet you on this webpage. Together with CBC leaders and people, we convey our warm greetings in the most precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our theme for 2026 is ‘The Year of Missional Discipleship.’ “Missional” refers to a way of living that aligns with the ongoing mission of God to redeem and restore all things through the message of salvation.

We acknowledge God’s ongoing mission to redeem mankind from sin and build His kingdom. He wants us to be engaged in this purpose. The Great Commission is a ‘great reminder’ that we are a people of mission. Our heart cry as a church is to become a passionate diverse community of Christ’s disciples committed to the greatest commandment fulfilling the Great Commission. The Great Commission is not a special or unusual activity. It is not an additional ministry or program. It is not another duty or task we do amongst a list of competing priorities. It is not simply a church program. Rather, it is a natural, spontaneous way of life. As we are going through the world, let us be making disciples. It is the mission of every Christ’s disciple to join with God’s missional heart to ‘form ONE people from all people groups for His glory and worship.’

Into CBC’s 52nd year in 2026, we would like to realign the Church to its disciple-making roots through authentic, intentional and missional discipleship in order to reproduce disciples that make disciples and to multiply them to win the world for Christ!

Dearly beloved, I invite you to join with me on this exciting journey of intentional and missional discipleship in 2026. Let us cultivate intentionality in all we are and in all we do as Christ’s disciples in all our spheres of influence. Let us be challenged, be inspired, be encouraged and together, whatever our spiritual maturity, status, role, gender and age, to become intentional missional disciples who are mindful and aware of God with a kingdom mindset intent, purposeful and responsible to a way of living that aligns with the ongoing mission of God to redeem and restore all things through the gospel of salvation and deliberate in our choices and actions towards this purpose and responsibility. 

The theme for 2026 carries the vision to position CBC as a revitalized and renewed church for significant Gospel usefulness. The theme for 2026 aspires to motivate the church to pursue and work on being biblically healthy and therefore, spiritually useful for the Gospel. The Lord be praised!
